Welcome RP Drumline Members and Vistors!
On this site, one can find rehersal dates, performances dates, updates on how the line is doing, photos, information on the line.. pretty much anything drumline related! This site will be updated twice a week to keep you in tact with what's going down.

Well, the marching band season is officially over. The band ended the season by competing in the State Finals hosted by MCBA. Reeths-Puffer Marching Band took all of the caption awards (Music, Marching, and General Effect) and first place with an outstanding score of 86.25. The Marching Band took first at State for the second year in a row, making them the first back to back champs since 1998. Way to go, band!
Be sure to check out the drumline at the drumbash this coming Saturday at Reeths-Puffer High School. Other lines from various schools will be in attendence to show everyone how hard they've worked all season.
When one season ends, another starts. Winterline is right around the corner. Be sure to encourage everyone to attend the Veteran's Meeting in early November. At this meeting, we will trade ideas back and forth with each other and the instructors. If you are questioning this up coming season at all, be sure to attend this meeting.
Once again, congratulation on yet another successful season!

A small update. Here's a direct quote from Kevin (the video guy from winterline) from one of his emails to Landon:
"Just got back from the WEVA Expo in Las Vegas. Good news. The Reeths-Puffer Winter Drumline DVD took the Silver Award (2nd place) for Theatrical Production in the Creative Excellence Competition. Perhaps needless to say, but I'm rather proud and grateful that you gave me the opportunity to work with the drumline."
So our winterline got Kevin second place! Be sure to congratulate him the next time you see him!
And one last thing, a while back there was mentioning of the DCI competition. Well, for those of you who missed it, there will be an airing of the DCI World Chamionship on ESPN2 on September Fifth at 8PM. Go to http://www.dci.org/tv/ for more information.
That's all! Until next time.

The times, thery are a-changin'.
As the season progresses, more and more things are changing, being removed, and/or added. Lately, everyone is bugging me as to why the site hasn't been updated in over a month. Valid question. But I also have a valid answer.
I have been hard at work gathering different video and sound clips for the site. Also, I've been doing some tedious HTML coding in hopes that my host request will go through. If it does, we will have a more official site that will be more easily accessible (eg. www.rpdrumline.com). I should find out within the next week.
On to business.
Fall is right around the corner which means cold, cold weather. Time to start thinking about section sweatshirts. The frontline already has a running idea, but the battery is behind on that. If you have an idea or a suggestion, make sure you talk to whoever is in charge of the sweatshirts for your section.
Also, as most of you may already know, our beloved bass tech Dan Stephens is taking off for Hong Kong very soon. Make sure you wish him well and see that his last days at Puffer are some that he'll never forget.

Greeting again! Another update from the head honchos.
From Boss to Pit:
The band room will be open at noon (Thanks to Mrs. D) for self-motivated sectionals. Be sure to leave the band room in the condition it is found and also thank Mrs. D a ton for taking the time to open up the place. The second song, "Spilt Realities," will be available.
Monday, the 24, Mark will be there at TEN A.M. for pit work. This includes any foreseen problems with carts and frames, drum head changes, and keyboard restringing. It is not mandatory, but please make every effort to show up and help out.
From Landon to Battery:
The second song, "Split Realities," will be emailed to the battery on Wednesday or Thursday. Keep a look out for that. Be sure to print it out, look it over, and have it ready for Friday's rehersal.
Have a good one and be sure to be ready for pre camp coming up!
